Here are a few tips about commonly asked questions on election day.
VOTING PLACE SCHEDULE
All polls are open from 7am to 8PM. If you are in line to vote by 8PM, you will be permitted to vote.
VOTER ID
You will need an ID if you are a first-time voter or if it is the first time voting at this polling location. Other than that, you do not need to produce an ID to vote.
VOTE BY MAIL COMPLICATIONS
1) You asked for a mail-in ballot but changed your mind: Bring the ballot and the outside envelope that you received. Turn it in to the Judge of Elections. The JoE will spoil the ballot, and you can proceed to vote normally.
2) You don't have the ballot and/or outside envelope with you:
Option 1: You can go to Chester County Voter Services, 601 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA.
610-344-6410. They will issue you another ballot, and you can drop it in the box there.
Option 2: Go into the polls and inform the JoE of the situation. They will let you vote with a provisional ballot.
3) You arrive at the polling place with a Mail-In ballot and want to deliver it there: You can't turn the mail-in ballot in at a polling place. You have to go to one of the drop boxes. Click the Voting tab for a full list of locations.
OR
You can opt to have the JoE spoil the ballot, and you can vote in person.
4) You requested a mail-in ballot but did not receive it.
